Let Us Tell You a Bit About The Opportunity
This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape and strengthen Aldermore's approach to Financial Crime risk management. You'll lead the second-line oversight of the Bank's Financial Crime Framework, ensuring it remains effective, proportionate and aligned to regulatory expectations, while supporting the delivery of the Bank's strategic objectives.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you'll oversee financial crime governance, policy development, regulatory implementation, horizon scanning and assurance activities. Acting as the Bank's Nominated Officer for AML, CTF and Anti-Bribery & Corruption, you'll play a pivotal role in protecting the Bank from financial crime risks, driving continuous improvement and ensuring a strong culture of compliance across the organisation.

What will your day look like?
- Lead and enhance Aldermore’s Financial Crime Framework, ensuring it remains robust, effective and aligned to evolving regulatory requirements.
- Shape Financial Crime strategy and governance, providing insight and oversight to Executive and Board-level stakeholders.
- Drive the implementation of regulatory change, ensuring new requirements are effectively embedded across the Bank.
- Act as the Bank’s Nominated Officer for AML, CTF and Anti-Bribery & Corruption, supporting the MLRO and strengthening the Bank’s control environment.
- Oversee key Financial Crime reporting, risk assessments and regulatory engagements with bodies including the FCA, PRA and NCA.
- Collaborate with senior leaders across the business to deliver a proactive, forward-looking approach to Financial Crime risk management and continuous improvement.

What do we expect from you?
- Significant Financial Crime Compliance experience within a UK regulated financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of AML, CTF, sanctions, anti-bribery and wider UK financial crime regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of developing and enhancing Financial Crime frameworks, policies and governance arrangements.
- Experience leading regulatory change initiatives and embedding compliance requirements across complex organisations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and engage senior leaders with confidence.
- Experience working with regulators and assurance bodies, including the FCA, PRA, NCA and Internal Audit.
- Excellent governance, reporting and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A strategic and commercially minded leader who can balance regulatory requirements with practical business outcomes.
