Italian-speaking Financial Crime Investigator
Fully Remote (UK Based)
£33,600 - £41,500 DOE + excellent benefits
If you're an experienced Financial Crime Investigator fluent in both Italian and English, and you're looking for an opportunity to join a business that's challenging traditional banking and continuing to grow across Europe, this could be the perfect next step.
Euro London is partnering with an innovative and fast-growing financial services organisation seeking an experienced investigator to join its specialist Financial Crime team.
This is a fully remote, permanent position offering genuine career progression, excellent training and development opportunities, and the chance to play a key role in protecting customers and the business from financial crime.
The role:
Working as part of a specialist Financial Crime function, you will be responsible for investigating complex and high-risk cases, making risk-based decisions, and providing expert guidance on financial crime matters across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting complex financial crime and anti-money laundering investigations on business accounts.
- Reviewing suspicious activity and recommending Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) where appropriate.
- Assessing high-risk customer onboarding applications and making informed risk-based decisions.
- Carrying out ongoing due diligence reviews on higher-risk accounts.
- Identifying emerging financial crime risks and escalating concerns where necessary.
- Acting as a subject matter expert and supporting colleagues across the wider business on financial crime-related matters.

What we're looking for:
- Fluent Italian and English, both written and spoken.
- Previous experience conducting complex financial crime investigations within a regulated financial services environment.
- Experience investigating high-risk business customers and making independent risk-based decisions.
- Strong knowledge of AML regulations, financial crime risks and best practice across the UK and EU.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment while thriving as part of a wider team.

Working hours:
This position is fully remote and offers a range of shift patterns, including some options that involve 1 weekend in 4.

Location
This role is fully remote; however, candidates must be based in the UK and have the unrestricted right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available.
