Management Accounting Data Analyst
Location: London (Hybrid)
Contract: Inside IR35
Duration: Until the end of 2026, with a strong possibility of extension
The Role
We are working with a leading international organisation operating across multiple markets, with established technology and data teams across the world.
They are looking for a Senior Management Accounting Data Analyst to support the analysis and reporting of financial data across several different datasets. This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently, understand the financial context behind the data and take ownership of problems through to resolution.
You will work closely with finance, accounting and data teams, helping to turn complex financial information into accurate, meaningful analysis and reporting. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across different datasets and stakeholders, with the confidence to make decisions and find solutions without significant day-to-day guidance.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret financial and accounting data across multiple datasets and reporting areas.
- Work closely with finance, accounting and data teams to understand requirements and deliver accurate analytical outputs.
- Support management reporting, financial analysis, variance analysis and performance reporting.
- Extract, transform and analyse data using SQL and modern data platforms.
- Build and maintain reporting, dashboards and analytical outputs for finance and business stakeholders.
- Identify data-quality issues, investigate discrepancies and implement practical solutions.
- Support the improvement and automation of existing reporting and data processes.
- Translate complex financial data into clear insights that can support business and management decisions.
- Take ownership of assigned work, resolving issues independently and managing priorities without significant supervision.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of data models, reporting processes and analytical practices.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
