Finance Director

£120,000 – £130,000

We are partnering with a highly successful, privately owned healthcare business to appoint a commercially focused Finance Director.

The business is already well established and performing strongly, and this appointment is about building on that success. They are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Finance Director who can work closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to help drive the business forward through its next stage of growth and development.

This is a broad Finance Director role with responsibility for the overall finance function, but the emphasis is very much on commercial leadership. The successful individual will be expected to understand the key drivers of the business, provide insight around performance and opportunities, and use finance to support better decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Leadership: Work closely with the Managing Director to shape strategy and identify opportunities to improve profitability, margins, and overall business performance.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring the leadership team has clear, relevant, and forward-looking information to support decision-making.
  • Finance Function Oversight: Have oversight of the wider finance function, including management and statutory reporting, cash flow, working capital, controls, compliance, and the development of the finance team.
  • Strategic Influence: Ensure the business has the appropriate financial infrastructure and processes in place to support its continued growth without losing the entrepreneurial and agile culture that has contributed to its success.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
