FINANCE DIRECTOR - UK & GERMANY | HEATHROW AREA | £90K+
Sheridan Maine are working with a globally expanding organisation who are seeking an accomplished Finance Director to lead the finance function across their UK and German operations.
This is a high-profile leadership role, combining strategic financial leadership with hands-on commercial partnership. You will work closely with the senior leadership teams in both markets, providing insight, challenge and direction to support sustainable growth and strong business performance.
With responsibility for two important European markets, you will bring together financial rigour, commercial thinking and strong leadership, ensuring that finance is a true partner to the business.
You will have overall responsibility for the financial performance, planning and governance of the UK and German businesses, including:
- Leading and developing the finance teams across both markets
- Driving budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning
- Providing clear commercial insight to the UK and German leadership teams
- Owning financial reporting, controls, governance and compliance
- Managing cash flow, working capital and overall financial performance
- Supporting strategic decision-making, investment cases and business growth
- Ensuring consistency and best practice across the two finance operations
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities, manage risk and improve profitability
- Leading finance transformation and process improvement initiatives where appropriate
- Working closely with the US finance function to deliver the wider financial strategy

You will be an experienced Finance Director or senior finance leader with a strong track record of operating in a complex, commercially focused organisation.
We are looking for someone who can combine strategic perspective with operational credibility and someone who is comfortable challenging the business, influencing senior stakeholders and getting into the detail when required.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- A recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Significant senior finance leadership experience
- Experience operating across multiple countries
- Strong commercial and strategic acumen
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams
- A strong understanding of financial controls, governance and compliance
- Fluency in English and German (essential)
