Finance Director
Flexible, Hybrid | £70,000–£90,000 + Equity
We are partnering with an ambitious technology business that is entering an exciting phase of growth and is now seeking to appoint its first Finance Director.
This is a broad and influential role, offering the opportunity to establish and develop the finance function while working closely with the senior leadership team on the commercial direction of the business.
You will take ownership of financial planning, reporting and controls, while also providing the insight and constructive challenge required to support confident decision-making as the organisation scales.
The role will suit an individual who enjoys the pace and variety of an entrepreneurial environment and is equally comfortable operating at a strategic level and remaining closely involved in day-to-day delivery.
Areas of Responsibility
- Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and longer-term planning.
- Build and maintain robust financial models and management reporting frameworks.
- Establish scalable finance processes, systems and controls.
- Deliver clear commercial insight to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Act as a trusted finance partner to the senior leadership team.
- Support future investment, governance and growth activity.
- Strengthen financial discipline and develop an operating framework capable of supporting continued growth.

Experience and Background
You will already have experience operating in a senior finance leadership position and will be able to demonstrate a strong combination of commercial judgement, strategic thinking and practical delivery.
You will bring:
- A recognised professional finance qualification.
- Experience gained within a high-growth, entrepreneurial or rapidly evolving organisation.
- Strong financial planning, modelling and reporting capability.
- Excellent commercial awareness and strategic judgement.
- A hands-on approach to developing and improving systems and processes.
- Confidence working with and influencing senior stakeholders.
- The ability to challenge constructively while remaining a supportive and credible business partner.

The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join the organisation at a formative stage and have genuine influence over the development of the finance function.
You will work directly with the leadership team, establish the financial framework required to support future growth and play a key role in shaping the organisation’s next phase of development.
The package includes a salary of £70,000–£90,000 alongside equity participation, reflecting both the seniority of the position and the longer-term opportunity available within the business.
