The Dog Ranch Opportunity
The Dog Ranch (incorporating Mordor gundogs, mordor hunting, mordor media, mordor property, dog ranch vets, dog ranch kennels, and dog ranch hotel and spa) is looking for a Financial Director (FD).
Role Description
The Financial Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Perth, responsible for overseeing all financial operations at The Dog Ranch. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Managing budgeting and forecasting across the group.
- Monitoring cash flow.
- Ensuring accurate preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Analyzing financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations.
- Overseeing relationships with external accountants.
- Implementing robust financial controls and processes.
- Collaborating with leadership on long-term financial planning and investment decisions.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Finance, with demonstrated experience in Financial Planning and long-term budgeting.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting in accordance with applicable standards.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret financial data, model scenarios, and provide actionable insights.
- Experience establishing and managing financial controls, cash flow management, and cost optimization in a small to medium-sized business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, CA, CFA) are an advantage.
