About the Role
Our client is a well-established and growing organisation with ambitious expansion plans and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services. As part of its continued growth, the business is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Finance Director to join the Senior Leadership Team.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Board, this is a key leadership appointment with responsibility for driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring the business is well-positioned for sustainable growth.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to become a trusted advisor to the Board, helping shape the future direction of a dynamic organisation. The successful candidate will combine strategic leadership with hands-on financial management, ensuring strong governance while identifying opportunities to enhance commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring effective financial management and controls.
- Develop and implement the organisation's long-term financial strategy.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management and financial reporting.
- Produce insightful monthly management accounts and Board reports.
- Manage statutory accounts, audit processes, taxation and compliance requirements.
- Deliver financial modelling, business case development and investment appraisal to support growth initiatives.
- Maintain relationships with banking partners, funders and external stakeholders.
- Partner with operational and senior leadership teams to improve performance and drive profitability.
- Identify risks and opportunities, ensuring appropriate governance and financial oversight.

About You
We are seeking a qualified finance professional who brings both commercial acumen and strategic leadership capability.
Essential Experience
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience operating at Finance Director, Head of Finance, Financial Controller or a comparable senior finance level.
- Strong track record in budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management and financial reporting.
- Experience presenting financial information and strategic recommendations to Boards and senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrable success leading, developing and mentoring finance teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to influence decision-making across the business.
- Commercially focused with the confidence to challenge, support and add value to senior leadership discussions.
