Finance Director | Founder-led DTC Supplements Business

About the Company

We’re partnered with a fast-growing, founder-led supplements business on the search for a Finance Director to help build the financial foundations for its next stage of growth.

About the Role

This is not a traditional Finance Director role inside an established corporate structure. It is a hands-on opportunity to work closely with the founder, bring greater commercial and financial rigour to the business, and build the systems, processes and insight needed to scale well.

The Opportunity

The core mission is to create a finance (and operations) function that gives the business greater clarity, control and confidence as it grows. You’ll lead across:

  • Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Commercial reporting and performance insight
  • Cash flow, working capital and inventory management
  • Margin improvement and unit economics
  • Operational planning and supply chain
  • Finance systems, controls and scalable processes
  • Business planning and strategic decision-making

You’ll be a close partner to the founder, helping turn financial information into clear commercial decisions while remaining willing to get into the detail and make things happen. This is a role for someone who wants to build, rather than inherit, a finished finance function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

We’re looking for a commercially minded finance leader who has worked inside a scaling, founder-led consumer business. You may be an experienced Head of Finance ready to step into a broader role, or an established Finance Director who still enjoys being hands-on. You’ll bring:

  • Experience leading finance within a DTC consumer business
  • Strong knowledge of physical products, inventory and working capital
  • Experience of subscription or recurring-revenue models
  • A track record of improving reporting, forecasting, controls and systems
  • The ability to understand margins, unit economics and the commercial drivers of growth
  • Experience working directly with founders and challenging constructively
  • The battle scars from having seen a business scale from single-figure to double-figure revenues
  • The operational breadth to contribute beyond pure finance

Experience in supplements, wellness, beauty, food and drink or another consumer product category would be highly relevant. More important than exact category experience is having operated at a similar stage, where resources are lean, priorities move quickly and the Finance Director needs to combine strategic judgement with hands-on delivery.
