Interim Finance Director - Working Capital Project

Contract: Initial 6-Month Contract

Location: London, with ad hoc travel to Europe

Start Date: ASAP

Day Rate: £ 800- £1,250 p/d, Outside IR35

Working Pattern: Remote with ad hoc travel

A leading private equity-backed global business (£150m revenue) operating across manufacturing, distribution and healthcare markets is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director to partner closely with the CFO to support a major working capital project and exit preparation.

With an anticipated exit process on the horizon, the business is focused on improving cash generation, optimising working capital performance and reducing the operational cost base. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and delivering initiatives that enhance profitability, improve cash conversion and maximise shareholder value.

Working directly with the CFO and senior leadership team, you will conduct a detailed review of working capital performance across the organisation, identifying opportunities to release cash from the balance sheet, streamline processes and drive sustainable improvements across inventory, receivables, payables and operational spend.

This is a highly visible, hands-on assignment requiring an individual with a strong track record of delivering measurable working capital improvements within PE-backed environments. You will be expected to operate autonomously, challenge existing practices and rapidly implement initiatives that deliver tangible financial benefits.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
