My client is a medium-sized manufacturer and supplier of engineering and electronics components to specialized sectors.
The company trades in 90 countries and has 13 subsidiaries across the globe. With a long and successful heritage, it has continued to evolve and has a consistent record of growth both in terms of turnover and profitability.
Not content to rest on its laurels, the company has a clear strategy in place to continue this success.
Due to the imminent retirement of the long-standing FD and Company Secretary, the business now requires a hands-on, technically oriented, IT-savvy finance director to join the executive leadership team.

Role Overview
The role will entail contributing to the financial strategy while having a hands-on approach to managing the day-to-day accounting across the group. Key aspects of the position include:
- Cash flow management in a multi-currency environment
- Preparing the group statutory accounts in accordance with IFRS
- Overseeing the production of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
- Managing the group’s relationship with its bankers
The role will have a strong IT focus with the implementation and development of systems planned. It is expected that the successful individual will also be expected to make a wider contribution to the business as a member of the board.

Qualifications
You should be a formally qualified accountant with well-developed technical accounting skills, international trading experience, strong commercial acumen, effective interpersonal skills, and a willingness to undertake some foreign travel.
