Pratap Executive is proud to be partnering with a successful, established multi-site SME to appoint a Finance Director
This key senior leadership role will work closely with the owner and wider management team, taking responsibility for the finance function while contributing more broadly to commercial performance, strategic decision-making, and future growth.
With a strong presence across Yorkshire, a substantial asset base and a proven track record of profitable growth, the business is well positioned for its next stage of development. The Finance Director will lead an established finance team and provide clear financial and commercial insight to support operational decision-making across its portfolio of sites.
The role will include:
- Leading and developing the finance function and team
- Working closely with the owner as a key financial, commercial, and strategic partner
- Ownership of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and statutory reporting
- Leadership of cash flow, treasury, and working capital
- Providing clear insight into business and site-level performance
- Developing the quality of management information and decision support
- Supporting investment decisions, acquisitions, and due diligence
- Oversight of audit, tax, compliance, and regulatory matters
- Supporting the continued improvement of IT systems, financial controls, and processes
- Managing key external relationships, including lenders, auditors, and professional advisers
- Building strong relationships with operational leaders across the business

We are looking for a professionally qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, which is an essential requirement. The successful candidate will be an established Finance Director with experience in a complex, multi-site, and operationally focused organisation.

They will combine strong financial control with sound commercial judgement and the ability to work effectively across all areas of the business. This is a hands-on FD role for someone who can influence at a strategic level while remaining close to the financial and operational detail.
The successful individual will demonstrate integrity, humility, and sound judgement, together with the ability to build trusted relationships and provide constructive challenge. This is a long-term appointment offering the opportunity to become an integral part of a successful and established privately owned business.
