Transaction Advisory Services: Financial Due Diligence - Senior Manager
CFGI, founded in 2000 by former Big 4 professionals, is a dynamic and fast-growing financial consulting firm serving as a trusted partner to CFOs and their organizations. We help clients tackle complex challenges across accounting, financial reporting, transactions, regulatory compliance, tax, and business transformation.
We blend deep technical expertise with a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach to help leading public, private, private equity-backed, and emerging companies move forward with confidence. Without the restrictions of auditor independence, our professionals have the flexibility to provide practical, creative solutions to complex business challenges.
We are actively expanding our Transaction Advisory Services practice in the UK and are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to support and lead complex buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements for corporate and private equity clients.
What you might expect:
- Lead and support buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, providing financial and business due diligence assistance to corporate and private equity clients.
- Analyse target company financial information to identify historical and projected operating trends, quality of earnings and assets, pro forma financial information, working capital considerations, debt and debt-like items, and other potential liabilities or risks.
- Assess financial matters that may impact transaction valuation, deal structure, and negotiations with target companies.
- Lead and coordinate multiple complex engagements simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting transaction deadlines.
- Manage and coordinate engagement activities across clients, CFGI engagement teams, and third-party diligence providers throughout the transaction process.
- Develop and review financial analyses, due diligence workpapers, client-ready reports, and presentation materials.
- Work closely with senior team members and client stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Mentor and develop junior team members through technical review, coaching, and on-the-job development.
- Contribute to client relationship management, proposal development, recruiting, and broader practice development initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
