Financial Institutions Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer Project
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Financial Institutions Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer Project based in United Kingdom.
This remote freelance opportunity is designed for finance professionals who want to apply their expertise to the development of advanced AI systems.
You will help train and evaluate language models on complex financial institutions, regulatory, and risk-management topics.
Your expertise will contribute to improving AI accuracy, reasoning, and understanding of real-world financial processes.
The role involves testing models with realistic scenarios, reviewing their responses, and identifying gaps in financial and institutional reasoning.
You will work independently while providing structured, evidence-based feedback that can influence future AI evaluation and training.
Both experienced professionals and entry-level candidates with strong foundational knowledge and analytical skills are encouraged to apply.

Accountabilities:
- Challenge advanced AI models using scenarios and questions covering banking systems, financial regulation, capital markets, lending, compliance, risk management, and institutional governance.
- Evaluate model responses for factual accuracy, financial logic, regulatory interpretation, and consistency with real-world institutional practices.
- Assess AI reasoning across areas such as balance sheet analysis, credit risk, liquidity management, capital adequacy, AML controls, financial reporting, and macroeconomic policy.
- Identify and document model failure modes, errors, oversimplifications, and misunderstandings of financial regulations or institutional processes.
- Produce clear, reproducible error traces and structured feedback to support improvements in prompts, evaluation frameworks, and model performance.
- Apply strong analytical judgment to determine whether AI-generated conclusions are financially sound and appropriately supported.
- Clearly articulate reasoning and decision-making processes to help improve the depth, reliability, and usefulness of AI-generated financial analysis.

Requirements:
- Knowledge of financial institutions, banking systems, financial regulation, capital markets, retail or commercial banking, central banking, compliance, risk management, lending, or related areas.
- A background in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
- Professional experience in banks, credit unions, regulatory organizations, financial consulting, or similar institutions is highly valued.
- Entry-level candidates with solid foundational knowledge of financial systems and strong analytical capabilities are welcome.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to assess complex institutional and regulatory scenarios.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical reasoning clearly and systematically.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle factual, logical, or regulatory inconsistencies.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, project-based environment and adapting to evolving AI evaluation tasks.
