Equity/Investment Research Analyst

Type: Contractor

Compensation: $175–$300/hour

Location: Remote

About the Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Equity Research and Investment Analysts to support a project focused on advanced financial analysis, modeling, valuation, and sector research. You’ll apply your expertise to evaluate real-world equity research workflows and help improve how AI systems analyze financial markets and investment opportunities.

No prior AI experience is required — your equity research expertise is what matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate datasets representing real-world equity research analysis.
  • Analyze earnings reports, estimate revisions, and peer benchmarking.
  • Evaluate company models covering revenue, margins, cash flow, and valuation drivers.
  • Produce concise research summaries and event-driven updates.
  • Develop and articulate investment theses using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Identify key industry trends, sector metrics, and company catalysts.
  • Provide feedback on research data quality and improve financial analysis content.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in equity research, including direct ownership of company models and written research.
  • Experience covering multiple companies across several earnings cycles.
  • Strong financial modeling, earnings analysis, valuation, and peer benchmarking skills.
  • Ability to connect business drivers, financial outcomes, and valuation.
  • Deep expertise in at least one industry sector.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience developing and defending investment theses and research views.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background as a Sell-Side Research Associate, Research Analyst, VP, or Director.
  • Experience independently maintaining comprehensive company models.
  • Strong expertise in event-driven research and earnings analysis.
  • Proven ability to provide specialist sector insights and high-quality investment research.

Compensation

  • Competitive compensation of $175–$300/hour.
  • Independent contractor engagement.
  • Approximately 25 positions available.
