London-Listed Private Equity and Infrastructure Investor Seeking a Qualified Accountant
A London-listed private equity and infrastructure investor is adding a qualified accountant to its Group Finance Operations team. The team is built deliberately as half accountants and half technologists, and this hire is the bridge between the two: an accountant first, with the SQL and systems skills to automate the reporting rather than rebuild it every quarter.
Very little of the work runs in Excel. NetSuite and eFront feed Workiva for reporting and Anaplan for forecasting, Power BI sits alongside, and Snowflake arrives over the next eighteen months. The team already uses Copilot and ChatGPT Enterprise day to day.
What You'll Do
- Financial and management reporting across a range of investment funds, from third-party funds with external investors to carried interest vehicles, under IFRS and the partnership agreements.
- Review financial statements and investor reports for management, external investors, and carry participants.
- Work with the deal teams through acquisitions, disposals, refinancings, and other capital events, flagging the accounting, tax, treasury, and systems implications early.
- Build and improve the reports themselves: write the queries, automate the routine, and move the next process off a spreadsheet.
- Work with fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisers, and with the Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Investor Reporting teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match

See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The Three Things That Matter
- Accounting. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, around two years qualified, with fund accounting or funds audit experience in private equity, infrastructure, real estate, or a similar investment setting.
- SQL. You have written queries and built reports yourself, not only used them. Expect to be asked how many reports you have built.
- Finance Systems. Hands-on time with an accounting, reporting, or planning platform such as NetSuite, eFront, Workiva, Anaplan, or Power BI, ideally including an implementation or a migration. The specific tools matter less than the systems mindset.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
Beyond those three, the team wants someone bright and commercially minded who is comfortable working directly with investment professionals.
Why It's Worth a Look
- A finance function being rebuilt on modern data infrastructure, with a live AI programme.
- High volume but steady: the work is scheduled across the year rather than spiking at month end.
- Accountants here sit close to the deal teams and the investment decisions.
