Senior Financial Operations Analyst - Global Infrastructure
London | Hybrid
12-Month Contract | £85,000
Global Technology & Infrastructure Organisation
We are recruiting an experienced Senior Financial Operations Analyst to support a major international telecommunications and network infrastructure programme.
This is a broad financial operations and programme coordination role, combining billing, invoice processing, financial reconciliations, purchase order management, cost tracking and reporting with project coordination and international stakeholder management.
You will work across a complex network of external suppliers, investors, telecommunications partners and internal stakeholders across multiple countries.
This is not a traditional FP&A or financial modelling position. We are looking for someone who enjoys the operational side of finance: keeping payments and billing on track, resolving discrepancies, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring actions are followed through.
What you'll be doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing multi-party billing, invoice processing and financial reconciliations across suppliers and external partners.
- Tracking invoices, payments and outstanding balances, following up on overdue items and resolving billing queries or discrepancies.
- Managing purchase orders, funding requests and payment approval processes, including monitoring PO utilisation and identifying when additional funding is required.
- Supporting cost allocation, capital contribution and cost-sharing reconciliations across multiple participating organisations.
- Producing regular financial reporting, including billing status, ageing, payment, budget and variance reports.
- Supporting annual budgeting, financial true-ups and external audit requests.
- Coordinating with finance contacts, suppliers, investors and telecommunications partners across multiple countries and time zones.
- Organising working-group meetings, including agendas, minutes, action tracking and follow-up.
- Maintaining project and financial documentation, approval workflows, registers and version control.
- Tracking project actions, dependencies, approvals and financial impacts across several simultaneous workstreams.
- Supporting programme dashboards, management reporting and standard operating procedures.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone with approximately 5-10 years' experience within financial operations or a related finance environment.

Particularly relevant backgrounds
Experience within telecommunications, network infrastructure, technology, construction/infrastructure or other complex international project environments would be particularly relevant.

Experience working with organisations or projects across Africa and Europe would be useful but is not essential.
What you don't need
You do not need to be a qualified accountant, and ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification is not a requirement.
