How You'll Make a Difference

You'll provide senior control leadership across Financial Operations, maintaining and developing a robust control framework for payments, regulatory compliance and operational resilience.

You will:

  • Own, maintain and improve the Financial Operations Control Framework across payment, regulatory and operational resilience obligations.
  • Lead regulatory gap analysis and horizon scanning for Financial Operations, including PSRs, EMIR and SFTR requirements.
  • Coordinate key annual compliance activities, including SCA review, Confirmation of Payee attestation, PCI reviews and policy or standards updates.
  • Monitor payment scheme compliance, document impacts and expectations, and communicate requirements to relevant stakeholders.
  • Own and maintain risk, control and incident records, coordinating critical control testing and recommending improvements where required.
  • Maintain operational resilience and reporting outputs, including FMI playbooks, dashboards, insurance inputs, BCP, BIA, OCIR and KPR updates.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Strong working knowledge of the payment's regulatory environment, payment scheme rules and associated risk management practices.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory or scheme requirements and translate them into practical controls, evidence standards, reporting and governance actions.
  • Proven track record of building effective relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts with the ability to influence and challenge where necessary.
  • Strong communication skills - listening, writing, and presenting with clarity and confidence.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail; able to prioritise, multitask, and perform under pressure.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and capable of working independently to deliver results.
