Financial Planner Role
Taking over an established, highly mature client bank, this permanent Financial Planner role in Tonbridge, Kent offers a starting salary of £75,000 to £90,000, day-one activity bonuses, and a realistic trajectory to exceed a six-figure basic within two to three years.
Where You Fit In
You will service an acquired, high-value client portfolio. Working in close collaboration with the retiring vendor during a phased, multi-year succession handover, you will step in as the trusted adviser to retain existing relationships, deliver ongoing lifestyle financial planning, and capture natural organic advice opportunities.
A Typical Week
- Conducting face-to-face review meetings with established private clients in the Tonbridge office
- Delivering holistic financial planning using cash-flow modelling and lifestyle financial planning tools
- Collaborating with the firm founder during client introductions to ensure seamless relationship transfers
- Identifying organic growth opportunities, professional connections, and new advice needs across the portfolio
- Maintaining clear advice records and collaborating with internal administrative support to progress cases

Financial Planner Requirements
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS, DipFA, or equivalent) is essential
- Proven experience as an authorised Financial Planner or Adviser servicing private clients is essential
- Practical experience with cash-flow modelling and holistic lifestyle planning is essential
- Demonstrable ability to build collaborative peer relationships and manage multi-year client transitions is essential
- Chartered Financial Planner status or progression towards Advanced Diploma is desirable
