Role Description

This is a full-time Financial Planner role based in Norwich, with a hybrid working arrangement that allows a combination of office-based and work-from-home days. The Financial Planner will meet with clients to understand their goals, assess their financial situation, and develop comprehensive financial plans covering areas such as retirement, investments, tax efficiency, and protection. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing cash flow models, analyzing existing portfolios and policies, documenting recommendations, and presenting clear, compliant advice. The role involves ongoing client relationship management, including regular reviews, responding to client queries, and adjusting plans as circumstances change. The Financial Planner will collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure a consistent client experience and will stay current with regulatory requirements, market developments, and best practices in financial planning.

  • Strong skills in Financial Planning and Personal Financial Planning, with experience creating holistic, client-focused plans.
  • Certified Financial Planner or equivalent chartered/level 6+ professional qualifications, with a solid foundation in Finance.
  • Expertise in Retirement Planning, including cash flow analysis, pension planning, and long-term income strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, accessible manner.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with financial planning software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, regulatory compliance (e.g., UK FCA standards), and continuous professional development.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients, with a client-centric mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
