Financial Planner / Independent Financial Adviser

The Opportunity

We are delighted to be recruiting an experienced Financial Planner / Independent Financial Adviser on behalf of a highly respected, established independent financial planning and wealth management firm.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Financial Planner who values high-quality, holistic advice and wants to join a professional, client-focused business with a strong reputation and long-standing client relationships.

The Role

You will provide holistic, independent financial planning advice to individuals, families and business owners, developing long-term relationships and delivering an exceptional standard of ongoing service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and developing long-term client relationships
  • Providing holistic financial planning and independent advice
  • Conducting comprehensive client reviews and identifying planning opportunities
  • Advising across pensions, investments and retirement planning
  • Supporting clients with tax-efficient wealth and estate planning strategies
  • Understanding clients’ objectives, circumstances and longer-term financial goals
  • Developing appropriate financial planning strategies and recommendations
  • Working closely with Paraplanning and Client Services colleagues
  • Maintaining the highest standards of compliance and regulatory documentation
  • Building trusted, long-term relationships through a genuinely client-first approach

Essential Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

  • Current CAS status
  • Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Proven experience as a UK Financial Planner / Financial Adviser
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions and investments
  • Experience delivering holistic financial planning
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills
  • A strong understanding of FCA requirements and compliant advice processes
  • A professional, ethical and client-focused approach
  • Chartered Financial Planner status is highly desirable, as is meaningful progress towards Chartered status.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is technically strong but equally comfortable building trusted relationships with clients.

You will understand that excellent financial planning is about much more than recommending products. You should be able to understand a client's wider circumstances and ambitions and translate these into a clear, long-term financial strategy.

This opportunity would particularly suit an adviser who values professionalism, independence, quality advice and long-term client relationships.
