Financial Planner

An established and growing wealth management firm is seeking an experienced Financial Planner to join its team.

The opportunity

You will develop strong relationships with clients and prospective clients, delivering high-quality financial advice and planning services. Working independently and alongside specialist colleagues, you will help grow the client base while maintaining excellent standards of service, compliance, and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with new and existing clients
  • Provide suitable financial-planning solutions in line with clients’ objectives
  • Complete fact-finds and attitude-to-risk assessments
  • Produce cashflow plans and client scenarios using Voyant
  • Develop new business through referrals, networking, and professional connections
  • Follow up enquiries generated through the firm’s marketing campaigns
  • Deliver presentations to clients, prospective clients, and professional contacts
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide joined-up specialist advice
  • Act as a main point of contact and respond effectively to client enquiries
  • Arrange and coordinate client meetings
  • Maintain accurate records using HubSpot and relevant back-office systems
  • Complete time-sensitive project work, including the transition of acquired client banks
  • Meet agreed commercial, service, and compliance targets

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a minimum CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or an equivalent qualification
  • Have at least two years’ focused financial advisory experience
  • Demonstrate a clear intention to work towards CII Chartered status
  • Understand the requirements for delivering compliant, client-focused advice
  • Have strong relationship-building and business-development skills
  • Possess a proven track record of generating new business
  • Be able to turn complex issues into clear, practical solutions
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, organisation, and time management
  • Be comfortable working towards targets, deadlines, and defined goals
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Be proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Voyant; experience with HubSpot would be beneficial
