Financial Planner
Financial Planner | Midlands Area | All Clients/Succession Planning | Up to £75,000 + Bonus + Benefits
A leading and rapidly growing independent wealth management business is seeking an experienced Financial Planner to join its established Midlands advisory team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a client-focused Financial Planner who wants to spend time delivering high-quality financial planning and building meaningful client relationships.
The business has built a strong reputation for delivering holistic advice, helping clients navigate every stage of their financial journey. With significant investment in support infrastructure, paraplanning, compliance and client servicing, all advisers are enabled to focus on what they do best, providing exceptional financial planning advice.
You'll be joining a highly respected name that combines the resources, stability and opportunities of a large national wealth management group with their culture, flexibility and client-centric approach within a regional, local independent practice.
The Opportunity
As a Financial Planner, you will inherit and develop an existing and quality client bank from an exiting advisor (Succession Planning) whilst also working with new enquiries being generated. Provide comprehensive advice across pensions, investments, retirement planning, protection, estate planning and other varied advice areas.
The role offers an excellent balance between servicing existing relationships and developing new in-house opportunities, allowing you to focus on delivering long-term value to clients.
Why This Role Stands Out
-
Established Client Relationships
You'll work with an existing client base from an existing senior planner handover, allowing you to focus on advice delivery and relationship management whilst still identifying new advice areas.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
