Financial Planner

Location: Hertfordshire

Employment Type: Permanent, Employed

Qualification: Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning required; Chartered status not essential

About the Business

Our client is a fast-growing, well-backed UK wealth management business with approximately £3bn AUM, with ambitious plans to grow towards £10bn over the coming years through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth.

The business has invested heavily in senior hires across M&A, Marketing, Technology, Compliance and Training & Competence, all designed to help advisers build stronger, larger client books and develop long-term careers within the firm.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Financial Planner to join the St Albans team on a permanent, employed basis.

This role is suited to someone who is confident building and developing a new book of clients, rather than simply inheriting and servicing an existing portfolio. You will benefit from a strong platform around you, including marketing activity, acquisition-led client opportunities, internal referrals, dedicated paraplanning and administration support, and continued investment in technology and adviser development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
