POSITION STATEMENT
The FP&A and Treasury Manager is responsible for driving financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, treasury management, cash flow optimization, and business performance analysis. The role partners closely with business leaders to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making while ensuring adequate liquidity, effective working capital management, and compliance with treasury policies.
The role combines strategic financial planning with operational treasury oversight to enhance profitability, improve cash management, and support sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Develop long-term financial plans and strategic models.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports.
- Develop, maintain and improve BI reporting and overview
- Analyze revenue, costs, margins, profitability, and operational KPIs.
- Investigate budget versus actual variances and provide actionable recommendations.
- Build and maintain financial models to support business cases, investments, pricing, and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare presentations and financial commentary for Executive Management, Exco, and Board meetings.
- Support capital expenditure evaluation and return-on-investment analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and digitization of financial reporting processes.
Business Partnering
- Partner with operational, commercial, and support function leaders.
- Provide financial guidance to improve decision-making and business performance.
- Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities for increased profitability and efficiency.
- Support departments with budget management and financial accountability.
- Develop financial insights that translate operational performance into financial outcomes.

Treasury Management
- Manage group cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
- Maintain short, medium, and long-term cash flow models.
- Optimize working capital through effective management of receivables, payables, and inventory.
- Monitor cash positions and ensure sufficient funding for operational requirements.
- Manage banking relationships and service providers.
- Oversee facility utilization, overdrafts, guarantees, and financing arrangements.
- Review and authorize electronic payments in accordance with delegated authority frameworks.
- Support foreign currency requirements, where applicable.
- Monitor compliance with treasury policies and banking covenants.
- Identify and mitigate treasury and liquidity risks.
- Prepare treasury reporting for executive management.
Reporting & Management Information
- Develop and maintain dashboards and BI reporting tools.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting across all business units.
- Deliver meaningful management insights and performance analysis.
- Enhance data quality, governance, and reporting integrity.
- Support month-end reviews and executive performance reporting.
Governance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and governance frameworks.
- Maintain strong internal controls over reporting, treasury, and planning processes.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function

Requirements
Qualifications
- CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, BCom Honours Finance, or equivalent finance qualification.
- Previous FP&A qualification advantageous.
Experience
- 5 to 10 years of progressive finance experience.
- Minimum 3 years in FP&A, commercial finance, treasury, or business partnering roles.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and treasury management.
- Experience presenting to senior management.
