FP&A Accountant

Leicester | Engineering & Manufacturing Environment

Are you a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with operational teams and influencing business performance?

We’re working with a highly successful international engineering and manufacturing business seeking an FP&A Analyst to join their growing finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a highly visible role where you’ll work closely with leaders across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations, providing the financial insight that helps drive business decisions.

This role is about far more than reporting numbers. You’ll become a trusted partner to key stakeholders across the business, building strong working relationships, challenging assumptions, and helping teams understand the financial impact of their decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Acting as a finance business partner across Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders and providing financial insight to support decision-making
  • Analysing manufacturing costs, operational performance and key business drivers
  • Supporting inventory management, valuation and working capital improvement initiatives
  • Producing monthly management reports, KPI analysis and performance reviews
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
  • Developing financial models and business cases for strategic and operational projects
  • Reviewing capital investment opportunities and measuring performance against expectations
  • Supporting treasury and risk management activities
  • Driving continuous improvement across finance processes, controls and reporting

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Strong understanding of costing, inventory and operational performance analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders
  • Confidence translating complex financial information into clear, practical recommendations
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
