Pearse Portfolio is excited to be working with a high-growth, private equity-backed infrastructure business operating at the forefront of the UK's energy transition.

The business is investing in and delivering £1bn+ of infrastructure projects across the UK, funding, designing, building, operating and maintaining networks and building energy systems for key communities.

With significant investment and growth ahead, the business is continuing to build out its finance function and is looking to appoint a commercially minded FP&A Analyst. The role will work closely with senior management, operational teams and investment stakeholders, providing financial insight to support performance, investment decisions and value creation across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and long-term strategic planning
  • Maintain and develop the corporate financial model, including forecasting, scenario analysis and asset valuations
  • Partner with project and operational teams to ensure forecasts, cash flows and financial assumptions are accurate and up to date
  • Prepare project-level cash flow forecasts, cost-to-complete analysis, margin analysis and profitability reporting
  • Analyse actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers, risks and opportunities
  • Prepare monthly management information, Board packs and reporting for senior management and investment stakeholders
  • Support reporting to lenders and shareholders, ensuring key financial metrics are accurately tracked
  • Provide financial analysis to support investment cases, strategic initiatives and value creation opportunities
  • Support M&A, investment appraisal and other strategic projects as required
  • Develop and improve KPI reporting, financial controls and management information
  • Work closely with the Head of Finance and wider leadership team to improve financial processes, systems and reporting
  • Act as a key finance business partner across the portfolio of projects, linking operational performance with financial outcomes

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent), ideally with 2+ years' post-qualified experience
  • Strong FP&A, financial planning and finance business partnering experience
  • Experience working within a PE-backed, investor-backed or high-growth business is highly desirable
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting and budgeting experience
  • Experience working with complex financial models and scenario / sensitivity analysis
  • Proven experience producing high-quality management and Board-level reporting
  • Experience within infrastructure, energy, utilities, construction, real assets or another project-based / asset-heavy environment would be advantageous
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling capabilities
