Broster Buchanan are partnering with a leading professional services business based in Manchester to recruit a Financial Planning Analyst.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a growing organisation and play a key role in providing financial insight and supporting the wider finance function.

Role Overview

As Financial Planning Analyst you will be responsible for delivering financial analysis, supporting budgeting and forecasting activity, and providing meaningful insight to help inform business decisions. You will also play an important role in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing financial analysis and insight to support business performance
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Assisting with month-end accounting and reporting duties
  • Preparing management information and financial reports
  • Working closely with stakeholders across the business to understand financial performance
  • Identifying trends and opportunities through analysis of financial data
  • Supporting continuous improvement across finance processes

About You

  • Qualified or active finalist accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Worked in a regulated environment – Preferred
  • Experience within FP&A, management accounting or a similar commercial finance role
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and translating financial information into meaningful insight
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with non-finance stakeholders
  • A proactive and commercially focused approach
