The Opportunity

A high-growth, private equity-backed SaaS business is seeking an ambitious and commercially-minded FP&A Manager to play a key role in the next phase of its growth journey.

With approximately £50m ARR, £15m EBITDA, and sustained 20% year-on-year growth, the business operates internationally and continues to scale through a combination of organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. Backed by an experienced private equity investor, the business is executing an ambitious value creation plan with a targeted exit anticipated within the next three years.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, with regular exposure to the CFO, this is a high-profile role that will sit at the centre of financial decision-making, strategic planning, and operational performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and professionalising the FP&A function, delivering best-in-class planning and reporting processes, and spearheading a finance-led AI transformation programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and continually enhance the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
  • Develop sophisticated three-statement financial models covering P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership teams across the business to provide commercial insight and decision support.
  • Lead the implementation and adoption of AI-driven tools and processes across the finance function, driving efficiency, automation, and enhanced analytical capability.
  • Support strategic initiatives, including M&A activity, integration projects, value creation programmes, and exit preparation.
  • Deliver meaningful KPI reporting, performance analysis, and board-quality insights.
  • Build scalable FP&A processes and controls appropriate for a rapidly growing international business.
  • Work closely with the CFO and Finance Director to improve forecasting accuracy, cash management, and performance visibility.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience within a SaaS, technology, or recurring revenue business would be highly advantageous.

Candidates coming from a Transaction Services, Deal Advisory, Corporate Finance, or M&A-related background, who have subsequently moved into industry FP&A, will be particularly attractive given the level of financial modelling and strategic analysis required.

This represents an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious FP&A professional to join a high-growth, PE-backed technology business at a pivotal stage in its evolution. The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership, involvement in a major AI transformation programme, and the opportunity to contribute directly to value creation ahead of a future private equity exit.

The successful candidate will have the chance to shape a growing FP&A function, influence strategic decision-making, and accelerate their career within a dynamic, internationally scaling SaaS business.
