Senior FP&A Manager – Fixed Term Contract
Location: Luton – Hybrid
Salary: Circa £100,000 per annum + benefits
We’re recruiting for an experienced Senior FP&A Manager to join a large, well-established business on a fixed-term contract. This is a senior finance role offering the opportunity to work closely with Executive Committee and Board-level stakeholders, leading financial performance reporting, providing commercial insight and supporting key business decisions.
We’re looking for a qualified accountant who can hit the ground running, with immediate availability or the ability to start at short notice essential.
The Role
You’ll lead the delivery of financial and non-financial performance reporting, ensuring senior stakeholders have clear, accurate and commercially relevant insight to support decision-making.
You’ll manage a team of four and work closely with senior finance leaders, Investor Relations and the wider business, taking ownership of both internal performance reporting and key external reporting requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading monthly financial performance reporting for the Executive Committee and Board, including management reporting packs, balanced scorecards and supporting commentary.
- Owning key financial reporting inputs for trading statements and half-year and full-year results, ensuring accuracy, robust controls and effective governance.
- Overseeing corporate performance measures, annual target setting and reporting against agreed business objectives.
- Monitoring and challenging cost efficiency and performance improvement programmes, identifying risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Managing, coaching and developing a team of four, ensuring high-quality outputs and delivery against tight deadlines.
- Providing competitor, market and business performance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, Investor Relations and the wider business.
- Supporting ad hoc FP&A, corporate finance and strategic reporting projects as required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
