Head of FP&A
London | Hybrid
£75,000–£85,000 + Bonus & Benefits
An established international consumer business is looking to appoint a commercially minded Head of FP&A to play a key role in shaping financial performance, strategic planning and decision-making across the organisation.
This is a high-profile role sitting at the heart of the finance function, with significant exposure to senior leadership and stakeholders across multiple international markets.
You’ll take ownership of the FP&A agenda, turning complex financial and commercial information into clear insight and helping the business understand what is driving performance, where the opportunities sit and where investment will generate the greatest return.
The role
You’ll lead the budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes, working closely with Finance, Commercial and Operational teams across the business. A major part of your role will be moving beyond simply reporting the numbers. You’ll challenge assumptions, identify trends and provide the insight senior leaders need to make better commercial decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About you
You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering experience gained within a sizeable organisation. Experience within an international consumer-facing business would be particularly attractive, including sectors such as consumer goods, retail, hospitality, leisure, travel, e-commerce or other fast-moving commercial environments.
You’ll be comfortable operating with senior stakeholders and able to combine strong technical and analytical capability with genuine commercial judgement. Most importantly, you can take a complicated set of numbers and turn them into a clear commercial story that influences decisions.
