Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

📍 Turriff, Aberdeenshire | Hybrid (2-3 Days Office Based)

Are you a commercially minded finance professional looking for an opportunity to influence strategic decision-making across a growing and diverse business?

Harbro is seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join our Finance team in Turriff. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this is a key leadership role responsible for delivering high-quality financial insight, forecasting, budgeting and management information that drives business performance across the Group.

As a trusted business partner, you will work closely with senior leaders across our Revenue Streams and operational sites, providing the analysis and commercial understanding needed to support growth, profitability and strategic decision-making.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the production and development of insightful management information and reporting across the business.
  • Partner with Revenue Stream Directors and Heads of Department to review financial performance, understand profitability drivers and identify opportunities.
  • Prepare and enhance monthly management accounts and Board reporting packs.
  • Lead forecasting and budgeting processes across multiple business areas and sites.
  • Develop, monitor and challenge financial KPIs, ensuring accountability and performance across departments.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth, investment decisions and future opportunities.
  • Support financial evaluation of new projects, initiatives and acquisitions.
  • Lead, coach and develop a small team, fostering a high-performing culture and supporting future talent development.
  • Champion continuous improvement, driving efficiencies and better ways of working throughout the finance function.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical finance expertise with commercial acumen and the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Fully qualified accountant (or actively working towards qualification)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in progressively responsible finance, FP&A or analytical leadership roles
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting and budgeting experience
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into clear business insight
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience managing or mentoring team members
  • Advanced Excel and strong systems capability
  • Excellent analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach and ability to drive change

  • Experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools
  • Background in manufacturing, agriculture, FMCG or multi-site operations
