About the Role

Seeking a commercially focused FP&A Manager to join a growing finance team within a thriving subsidiary of a FTSE-listed parent company. This role will be responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis activities, providing meaningful insights to support strategic decision-making across the business.

The successful candidate will partner closely with senior stakeholders, helping to drive financial performance, improve forecasting accuracy, and support business growth through data-driven analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare long-term financial plans and scenario analyses.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying risks and opportunities.

Management Reporting & Analysis

  • Produce accurate and insightful monthly management reports.
  • Deliver detailed variance analysis and performance commentary.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Analyse trends across revenue, margins, costs, cash flow, and profitability.

Business Partnering

  • Partner with operational and commercial leaders to support decision-making.
  • Provide financial insight and challenge to budget holders and senior management.
  • Support investment appraisals, business cases, and strategic projects.
  • Influence stakeholders across the organisation to drive financial accountability.

Commercial Finance Support

  • Evaluate commercial opportunities through financial modelling and sensitivity analysis.
  • Support pricing, contract evaluation, and investment decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.

Process Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement in forecasting, reporting, and planning processes.
  • Enhance financial models, reporting tools, and dashboard capabilities.
  • Support finance systems development and automation initiatives.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience within FP&A, commercial finance, or business partnering roles.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience building complex financial models.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive and commercially minded approach.

Desirable

  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Dynamics.
  • Previous experience working within a fast-paced, growing, PE-backed, or listed environment.
