A bit about us.

Grind is a coffee company that lives in London. Since opening Shoreditch Grind in 2011, we've expanded across London with cafés, coffee trucks and a state-of-the-art coffee roastery. Today, we serve millions of cups of coffee across London and the UK each year, and we’ve helped hundreds of thousands of people make better, more sustainable coffee at home. You’ll find our coffee beans, compostable coffee pods and ready-to-drink coffee cans - in supermarkets across the UK and in hotels around the world.

Based in Shoreditch, we have a team of talented people working on everything from product development to finance, to customer experience. We’re looking for someone to join our growing team and help us in building the future of Grind.

We think coffee can be a force for good. Whether it's through creating the UK's first compostable coffee pods, our plastic-free packaging or carbon-free shipping - we're on a mission to be the world's most sustainable coffee company.

In 2023, we created our charity, the Better Coffee Foundation, to undo the damage done by the global coffee industry - in our first year, we recovered 43 million pods' worth of ocean-bound plastic.

A bit about the role.

We’re looking for a technically strong and commercially minded FP&A Manager to join our Finance team and play a key role in strengthening financial planning, analysis and decision-making across Grind.

Working across our omnichannel business, you’ll own and develop our budgeting, forecasting and management reporting processes, ensuring the business has robust, accurate numbers and clear insight into performance. This is a hands-on role for someone who is as comfortable getting into the detail of a model as they are translating the numbers into meaningful commercial insight for senior stakeholders.

You’ll work closely with teams across our High Street locations, Grocery, DTC and B2B channels, building a strong understanding of what drives performance across each area of the business. We’re looking for someone who can challenge assumptions, strengthen our financial modelling and bring greater consistency and rigour to how we forecast, plan and evaluate performance.

Role responsibilities.

  • Own and continuously improve Grind’s budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes across our different channels and functions.
  • Build and maintain robust financial models, ensuring assumptions, inputs and outputs are accurate, clearly understood and appropriately challenged.
  • Lead monthly performance reporting, providing clear analysis of actuals versus budget, forecast and prior year, including meaningful variance commentary.
  • Partner with teams across High Street, Grocery, DTC and B2B to understand performance drivers and translate operational activity into financial outcomes.
  • Provide commercially focused analysis across revenue, gross margin, labour, operating costs and profitability to support better business decisions.
  • Own short and long-term cash flow forecasting, ensuring the business has clear visibility of future cash requirements and potential risks.
  • Develop scenario modelling and business cases to support new initiatives, investments, product launches and other strategic decisions.
  • Strengthen the quality, consistency and accessibility of financial reporting, creating clear KPIs and management information for senior stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the wider Finance team to ensure management reporting is underpinned by accurate, reconciled and reliable financial data.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities within forecasts, challenging assumptions and ensuring these are clearly communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Continue to improve FP&A processes, systems and ways of working, creating scalable tools and reporting as Grind grows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
