Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

We're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our Group Finance team. This is a high-impact role at the heart of the business, partnering closely with Operations, Sales, and senior leadership to deliver insight that drives profitable growth and informed decision-making.

Let’s get a flavour of the role:

  • As a trusted finance business partner, you'll lead budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and product costing activities while providing robust financial analysis and commercial challenge across the organisation.
  • You'll also play a key role in developing a Commercial Finance Analyst and enhancing financial understanding across the business.
  • Lead weekly and monthly P&L reporting, delivering meaningful analysis and performance commentary.
  • Produce management accounts and support month-end and year-end processes.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles across multiple stakeholders.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support pricing, margin, and commercial decisions.
  • Lead product costing activities, reviewing and challenging assumptions to protect profitability.
  • Support commercial tenders and customer proposals, including major retailer contracts.
  • Attend Gatekeeper meetings, influencing decisions on new products and commercial opportunities.

Key Ingredients (what we’d like to see):

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in FP&A, commercial finance, management reporting, business partnering, or product costing.
  • Background within manufacturing, FMCG, or food production environments.
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience of financial modelling and analysis, and the curiosity and attention to detail that go with it.
  • Excellent understanding of costing, margin analysis, stock accounting, GRNI, and management accounts processes.
  • Experience using ERP systems and reporting or business intelligence tools.
  • A confident communicator who can influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable translating complex data into clear business recommendations.
  • Collaborative and relationship-focused, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
