Who Are CSL Looking For?
A commercially minded, ambitious finance professional with strong FP&A fundamentals, who can own detailed models and forecasts but also step back to understand the commercial drivers and turn analysis into clear recommendations. You will be confident with senior stakeholders, comfortable in a fast-moving PE-backed environment and keen to develop towards a senior FP&A or Commercial Finance role.

The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Director, you will own CSL’s core planning, forecasting and management reporting, and provide forward-looking financial and commercial insight across the Group. You will partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product and Technology, with regular exposure to the CFO and Executive Team.
Duties & Responsibilities
This role will encompass a range of responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Forecasting & Planning: Own the monthly rolling P&L, cash flow and balance sheet forecast; lead key elements of the budget, 6+6 and multi-year plan, including scenarios.
- Management Reporting: Own monthly revenue, gross margin, EBITDA and cash bridges, analysing performance by business area, product, customer and geography to highlight risks, opportunities and underlying trends.
- Commercial & Revenue Insight: Analyse ARR, pricing, margin, and customer profitability, alongside key SaaS-related KPIs such as GRR, NRR, churn, ARPU and AMPU.
- Business Partnering: Build strong relationships with budget owners, challenge assumptions constructively and drive accountability against forecast, budget and investment cases, including opex and headcount tracking.
- Modelling: Build robust, well-documented models and business cases for growth and investment.
- M&A & Integration: Support acquisition analysis and due diligence, integration of acquired businesses into Group reporting, and synergy tracking.
- Board & Investor Reporting: Assist in the preparation of Board and investor materials with clear, concise commentary reconciled to underlying models.
- Process & Automation: Improve data quality and automation, including use of BI and AI tools.

Key Skills & Qualifications Sought
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, 1-5 years PQE in FP&A
- Excellent Excel modelling and three-statement forecasting skills
- Strong PowerPoint skills and the ability to turn complex analysis into clear messages
- Comfortable with large data sets and imperfect information
- Experience in recurring revenue, PE-backed software or SaaS businesses; IoT experience advantageous but not essential
- Commercially curious, proactive, hands-on and confident challenging senior stakeholders
- Hunger, drive and focus
- Strong attention to detail
