RG Consultancy are working with a financial services business who are looking for an experienced Financial Planning Assistant to join their small and growing team. The role is to support the financial planning team on a day to day basis and has scope for development as the company grows.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the financial planning team
  • Manage adviser remuneration statements and assist with income matching and reconciliation
  • Process and track Letters of Authority, liaising with providers and following up outstanding information
  • Assist with new business processing, including ID checks and maintaining the new business register
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and administrative files in line with GDPR and AML requirements
  • Support compliance monitoring, product governance and other delegated compliance activities
  • Liaise professionally with clients, advisers, product providers and third parties by telephone and email
  • Draft client and provider correspondence as required
  • Assist with fund research using FE Analytics and cashflow forecasting
  • Prepare and pre-populate documentation for client meetings and recommendations
  • Support the Adviser Support Manager with the management of our co-sourcing partner
  • Attend relevant training and undertake any other reasonable duties required by the business

  • At least 2 years' experience working within a financial planning or similar business
  • Experience working within a financial planning administration/assistant role is essential
  • CII qualification or studying towards would be an advantage
  • Strong IT skills including MS Office and MS Excel
  • Good understanding of GDPR, awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally with clients and third parties
