About TheWealthPoint

TheWealthPoint is a financial planning firm specialising in retirement income, tax, and decumulation advice for clients approaching or in retirement. @SanjayGambhirUK, our YouTube channel, is one of the main ways prospective clients find us and decide whether our approach is right for them. It's built on real financial planning substance, not generic finance content, and that standard doesn't move as the channel grows.

The Role

This role owns the research, scriptwriting, and case study modelling behind every piece of long-form content on the channel. It exists because that work currently depends on one person doing it all, and it needs to run at the same standard, consistently, without that bottleneck.

This is a hands-on financial planning role that happens to sit inside marketing. Every script needs to be backed by a case study that's actually modelled correctly, not just written to sound right, so the qualification and the software skill matter as much as the writing.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Production, filming, editing, thumbnails, and channel operations are owned elsewhere on the team. This role isn't that. You'll work closely with whoever owns production and help out where useful, but the core job is the research, the scripts, and the modelling behind them.

Responsibilities

  • Research retirement topics that matter at the point people actually retire (sequence of returns risk, decumulation strategy, tax on drawdown, and similar).
  • Write scripts that explain those topics in plain English, with every piece of jargon translated, matching the standard of a good adviser talking to a client.
  • Build the case studies behind each script, modelled properly in the planning software, so every number shown is accurate and defensible.
  • Work with the production side of the team to make sure scripts are shaped for how they'll actually be filmed and cut.
  • Keep a working knowledge of the retirement planning landscape so topics stay current and genuinely useful, not recycled.

Requirements

  • A genuine financial planning qualification, held or in progress (CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, DipFA, CISI equivalent, or similar).
  • Working competence in financial planning/cashflow modelling software, not just theoretical knowledge.
  • Strong plain-English writing ability, with the discipline to translate technical detail rather than simplify it away.
  • A clear intention to build a career in content and marketing, not in financial advice. These are different ambitions, and this role needs someone who's already chosen this one.

What's Not in This Role

  • Filming, editing, thumbnails, titles, upload scheduling, and channel analytics sit with the production side of the team.
  • This role doesn't include running the channel, and applicants looking for that should look elsewhere.
