About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Planning Manager to support financial planning, performance reporting, and governance within a public sector environment.

Responsibilities

You will play a key role in producing high-quality performance and financial reports, supporting budget monitoring and forecasting, maintaining data integrity, and providing clear analysis and insight to senior officers, leadership teams, and elected Members. You will support the development of Medium Term Financial Strategy as well as budget setting and forecasting.

Requirements

  • Local authority or wider public sector experience in finance, performance, planning, or business management
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Experience supporting financial planning, budget monitoring, or governance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines

Contract Details

  • 6 month initial contract
  • Hybrid based - 2 days in Chichester
  • £450-700 per day via umbrella company
