The Role
This is an opportunity to join a market-leading financial regulation team within a globally integrated platform. The practice advises domestic and international financial institutions, fintechs, crypto and digital asset businesses, financial market infrastructures, and payment providers on their most challenging regulatory issues. The work combines strategic projects and day-to-day advisory for major financial clients navigating increasingly dynamic regulatory frameworks.

- Advising on compliance with UK and EU regulatory frameworks, including perimeter issues, financial promotions, and compliance projects.
- Supporting transformational change projects such as CRD VI, MiFID/RIS reforms, PSD3, cryptoasset regulation, and Consumer Duty implementations.
- Advising on new digital asset platforms and regulatory strategy, licence applications, remediation projects, and compliance frameworks.
- Engaging on issues affecting banks, asset managers, brokers, payment/ e-money services, trading platforms, fintech firms, and retail intermediaries.
The role provides exposure to both technical advisory matters and strategic transactions, while encouraging associates to take responsibility for client interaction and formative projects from the outset.
What They’re Looking For
- 1-4 years’ PQE gained in financial services regulation, ideally from a leading law firm or in-house financial institution.
- Strong technical knowledge of the UK and EU regulatory perimeter and associated compliance obligations.
- Ability to advise on regulatory implications and deliver practical, commercially focused solutions.
- Excellent drafting and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- A collaborative team player able to manage client relationships confidently and handle multiple priorities under pressure.
- Genuine interest in financial markets, innovation (including digital assets/fintech), and regulatory change.
