We’re looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join the finance team of a market leading business with unbelievable retention and play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting and statutory accounts. You’ll work across a broad range of financial accounting activities, gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and increasingly complex areas of reporting.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Ensuring financial reporting is accurate, robust and delivered to tight deadlines.
  • Applying your strong knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS to financial reporting matters.
  • Supporting month-end, year-end and wider financial accounting processes.
  • Investigating and resolving complex accounting issues.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders, auditors and other teams to ensure high-quality financial information.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and efficiency.
  • Supporting technical accounting projects and ad-hoc financial reporting requirements.
  • Taking ownership of your work while continuing to develop your technical and commercial expertise.

As a qualified or very nearly qualified accountant you'll have proven experience preparing statutory accounts, a solid understanding of UK GAAP and/or IFRS, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders at different levels.
