Financial Reporting Accountant / Liverpool (Hybrid) / Salary £60,000

Accountable Recruitment are working exclusively with our client who are seeking a technically strong Financial Reporting Accountant to join their growing finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the group's financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements and compliance with relevant accounting standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working within a multi-entity environment and has proven experience in group consolidations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation reports across multiple legal entities.
  • Produce consolidated management accounts and statutory financial statements.
  • Support the year-end audit process and act as a key contact for external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP reporting requirements.
  • Review and reconcile intercompany balances and transactions.
  • Prepare complex balance sheet reconciliations and technical accounting papers.
  • Support the preparation of annual reports and financial disclosures.
  • Assist with acquisition accounting and the integration of new entities into the group structure.
  • Drive improvements to financial reporting processes, controls, and systems.
  • Partner with finance teams across the business to ensure reporting consistency and accuracy.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis as required.

Key Skills

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Proven experience in a Financial Reporting Accountant, Group Accountant, Technical Accountant or similar role.
  • Strong experience preparing group consolidations within a multi-entity environment.
  • Excellent understanding of IFRS and/or UK GAAP.
  • Experience preparing statutory accounts and managing audits.
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
