Financial Reporting Accountant
An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join finance and regulatory reporting team within a leading foreign bank, providing a wide range of services to both private and corporate clients across the globe.
As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you will be supporting accurate financial reporting and control processes, including month-end close, reporting, UAT, and audit requirements.
This is a fixed term contract role (3 months) offering salary range of A GBP 450 : A GBP 550 per day and benefits.
You Will Be Responsible For
- Assisting with the timely completion of month-end financial close
- Preparing and reviewing reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
- Processing depreciation and other required accounting adjustments
- Producing daily financial accounts and reports
- Supporting weekly financial reporting
- Reviewing financial performance, movements, and variances
- Investigating discrepancies and resolving financial reporting issues
- Taking part in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for a core banking system project
- Checking financial reports, accounting entries, and system-generated outputs
- Supporting the Financial Control function during testing and implementation
- Producing financial information, schedules, and supporting documentation for auditors

What We Are Looking For
- Strong experience of month-end processes and financial close
- Practical experience with reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and accounting adjustments
- Experience producing daily, weekly, and/or monthly financial reports
- Strong financial analysis and variance investigation experience
- Previous UAT or systems testing experience, ideally within finance or core banking systems
- Experience supporting both internal and external audits
- Strong Excel skills
- Banking or financial services experience would be highly advantageous
