The Role: Financial Reporting Accountant – Part Qualified
Purpose:
To deliver accurate and timely ABP group financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly and year-end deliverables. The role is responsible for assisting with the consolidation of results, compliance with internal control procedures, meeting statutory financial reporting and external audit requirements.
Accountabilities:
- Prepare supporting schedules for group consolidation
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes
- Support preparation of statutory accounts and disclosures
- Respond to audit queries with appropriate documentation
- Maintain reporting templates and reconciliations
- Support compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies
- Drive process improvements in financial reporting
- Work closely with the Management Accounting team to develop seamless ways of working
- Support preparation of board and management reports
- Support establishing and maintaining a robust internal control framework

About you:
You will be a real team player, who is keen to get stuck in to this exciting and fast-paced industry. By nature, you will have a willingness to learn, the ability to self-manage workload and be proactive, with support and guidance be able to work independently, focusing on accuracy and ability to identify and operate in a continuous improvement environment.
Experience/Qualifications
Essential
- Part qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Understanding of internal controls, compliance, and audit processes
- Ability to analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide insightful commentary
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and integrity in all reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences
- Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Proactive in identifying opportunities to streamline reporting processes and enhance efficiency
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of financial integrity and accuracy
