About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Finance team as a Financial Reporting & Analysis Analyst in Birmingham. The team provides high-quality financial reporting, planning, and analysis that supports decision-making across the business.
You'll be involved in producing monthly management accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, maintaining data integrity, and contributing to a range of finance projects and initiatives.
This role would suit a part-qualified accountant looking to further develop their career. We will support you in completing your professional qualification through study and exam support, while also providing training in the TM1 systems used within the role.
About you
We are looking for a commercially minded and naturally curious finance professional who enjoys working with data and translating numbers into meaningful business insights. With a strong management accounting background, you will be confident analysing financial performance, identifying trends, and partnering with stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
The successful candidate will be newly or part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with strong financial and commercial acumen, excellent analytical skills, and advanced Excel capability. You will have an interest in finance systems and data, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the confidence to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
