Financial Reporting & Control Analyst – Financial Reporting

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Model: Hybrid

Overview

Early-career finance role supporting financial reporting, financial controls, statutory and regulatory reporting, audit delivery and legal entity planning across UK & EMEA operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly financial analysis, P&L and balance sheet reporting and management commentary.
  • Prepare balance sheet reviews, reconciliations and supporting financial analysis.
  • Assist with statutory accounts, regulatory returns and audit deliverables.
  • Support technical accounting, local GAAP analysis, tax balances and entity disclosures.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
  • Analyse financial movements, trends and performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting and data efficiency.
  • Work with Financial Controllers, Finance Operations, Tax, Treasury and external stakeholders.

  • Part-qualified accountant studying towards a recognised accounting qualification.
  • Understanding of accounting principles, financial statements and month-end reporting.
  • Experience in financial analysis or finance operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate financial insights clearly.
  • Comfortable working with financial systems and financial data.
  • Oracle or similar ERP experience is advantageous.
