Financial Reporting Manager | Private Equity, SaaS

Remuneration

£80-£90k + 10% bonus + benefits package

Location

London, Permanent Full-Time position (Hybrid working, 2x days per week office)

The Opportunity

A high-growth, Private Equity-backed SaaS business is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join its expanding finance function in London.

The business has grown significantly both organically and through M&A and now boasts approximately £50m in turnover and £15m of EBITDA, with further growth expected over the coming years. With an exit anticipated in approximately two years, the organisation is entering an important phase of professionalisation, integration and value creation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional who is looking to take the next step in their career and ultimately become a fully-fledged Financial Controller.

The Role

Reporting directly to an established and highly experienced Finance Director, the Financial Reporting Manager will play a key role in strengthening the group's financial reporting infrastructure and supporting the continued evolution of the finance function.

The Finance Director is committed to developing this individual and will act as a genuine mentor, providing exposure to areas beyond traditional financial reporting and helping them develop into a broader, commercially minded Financial Controller.

The successful individual will take ownership of a number of critical areas across the group, including international consolidation, audit, tax, group reporting, analysis and Private Equity-standard diligence.

They will work closely with the Finance Director, business unit leaders, the wider finance team and, increasingly, the Board, providing excellent exposure to senior stakeholders and the key issues facing a high-growth PE-backed organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the group financial reporting and consolidation process, including international entities and multiple business units.
  • Spearhead the professionalisation and standardisation of group reporting, improving processes, controls, reporting quality and consistency.
  • Take ownership of the year-end audit process, acting as a key point of contact for external auditors.
  • Support the Finance Director across tax, statutory reporting and technical accounting matters.
  • Produce high-quality management information and analysis to support senior leadership and Board-level decision making.
  • Support the preparation of Private Equity-standard reporting and diligence materials.
  • Partner with business unit leaders to understand performance, challenge numbers and improve financial visibility across the group.
  • Support the integration of newly acquired businesses, ensuring appropriate reporting processes and controls are embedded.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and automation across the finance function.
  • Work closely with the Finance Director on projects associated with M&A, integration, business improvement and the eventual exit process.
  • Act as a key finance partner to senior stakeholders across the organisation.

The Requirements

The business is looking for an ambitious and technically strong finance professional who is ready to move beyond a pure reporting role.

The successful candidate is likely to be:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Experienced within financial reporting, group reporting, consolidation or a similar role.
  • Highly competent in Excel, with strong analytical and financial modelling capability.
  • Experienced working in a high-growth, changing environment, rather than a static or highly process-driven corporate.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and taking ownership of projects and processes.
  • Experienced in working with senior stakeholders and able to communicate financial information clearly.
  • Exposure to Private Equity or Venture Capital-backed businesses would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience within SaaS, technology or another recurring-revenue environment is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to NetSuite would be a significant positive.
  • Commercially minded, ambitious and keen to broaden their remit beyond traditional financial reporting.
  • Someone who has demonstrated that they can drive change, rather than simply operate within established processes.
