Financial Reporting Manager

Location: Chichester

Salary: Competitive + Benefits

Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Working Pattern: Full time with 4 days on site initially reducing to 2-3 on site and 2-3 WFH


A well-established and highly regarded business is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join its finance team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of financial reporting, compliance, controls, and team leadership within a dynamic and growing organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting business performance, statutory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs for senior leadership.
  • Manage monthly group reporting submissions and act as the primary liaison with Group Finance.
  • Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and financial planning activities.
  • Lead and coordinate the annual statutory audit process, acting as the primary contact for external auditors.
  • Oversee financial controls, process documentation, and internal audit compliance.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting and IFRS 16 lease reporting.
  • Monitor payroll and pension submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a small finance team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a confident and commercially aware finance professional with strong technical accounting expertise and leadership experience.

You will ideally have:

  • ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Proven experience in financial and management reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • Experience of working within a multi-entity or group reporting structure.
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring finance staff.
  • Advanced relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to improving processes and driving financial control.
