📢 Financial Reporting Manager – Professional Services / Accountancy Practice

We are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Manager with a background working within an accountancy firm, professional services firm, outsourcing team or client accounting environment.

You will manage a portfolio of client accounting and financial reporting engagements, taking responsibility for delivery, technical reporting, client relationships and the development of junior team members.

The Role

  • Manage a portfolio of client accounting and financial reporting engagements
  • Prepare and review management accounts and financial reports
  • Oversee VAT, reconciliations, month-end and year-end reporting
  • Ensure reporting is compliant with FRS 102 or FRS 101, UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Act as a key contact for senior client finance stakeholders
  • Review work completed by junior team members and provide coaching
  • Manage engagement deadlines, resources, budgets, billing and WIP
  • Support year-end accounts and external audit requirements
  • Improve accounting processes, controls and reporting
  • Support proposals and wider client-development opportunities

What We Are Looking For

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Previous experience within an accountancy firm, professional practice, professional services or outsourced/client accounting environment
  • Strong post-qualified financial reporting or client accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of FRS 102 or FRS 101, UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience managing multiple external client engagements
  • Strong management accounts, VAT, reconciliations and month-end experience
  • Experience reviewing financial statements and accounting outputs
  • Experience managing budgets, billing, WIP or engagement profitability
  • Strong Excel, communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to attend London offices and client sites as required

  • Xero, NetSuite, CCH or similar accounting systems
