Financial Reporting Manager

Employment Type

Fixed Term Contract moving to permanent hire.

Summary of the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to support leading insurance organisations with financial reporting, regulatory reporting, and finance transformation initiatives. This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical accounting expertise, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead reporting workstreams in complex, regulated environments. The successful candidate will work directly with client finance, controllership, actuarial, investment, and audit teams to improve reporting quality, strengthen governance, support regulatory compliance, and drive reporting transformation through process improvement and technology enablement.

As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead financial reporting and regulatory reporting engagements for insurance clients.
  • Review statutory financial statements, management reporting packs, and regulatory submissions across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support clients with investment accounting and reporting activities, including reconciliations, roll-forwards, financial analysis, and reporting reviews.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to finance leadership, controllership, and external audit teams.
  • Coordinate and manage audit requests, reporting queries, and remediation activities to support accelerated reporting timelines.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring robust controls and high-quality reporting outputs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes through automation, standardisation, and technology solutions.
  • Work with client stakeholders to enhance reporting governance, Chart of Accounts structures, and reporting operating models.
  • Lead workshops, present recommendations to senior stakeholders, and manage delivery teams across onshore and offshore locations.
  • Support finance transformation and reporting process improvement initiatives where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
